I was coming home today, i was turning out of a parking lot and went to put my turn signal on,
it turned on for a split second then turned off. I tried to put it back on again and noticed the lever
now flops around in each direction and neither of the signals work.

I searched and found something about a cam spring being broke but im not sure what it is
talking about and, i dont know how to take apart the steering column to replace it. If thats whats
wrong. How do you get the main metal peice off the column? I have no idea where to start
for this.

Can someone help me, i need to get this fixed ritght away. This is an everyday drive, & i drive at
least 2hrs per day on the highway.

btw this is on a first gen. blazer, with tilt steering, and no cruise control
thanks alot

You are gonna have to pull your steering wheel first. Then once you are in there, there is a cam that turns off your blinkers when you turn. (you know what im talking about) that is where you are gonna have to start. I have never had to do this procedure, so I dont know how to do it, though.

it's a cheap part and super easy to install, but you'll have to remove the lock plate to get to it. u will need a lock plate remover. Mine cost 12bux and was worth every penny

So is it a return spring? where can i find a replacement ?

also, is the lock plate remover and the steer wheel puller the smae thing?

go to the parts store and look in the HELP parts section or just ask the guy at the counter. Advance has the best HELP section around here.
As for the puller they do make a cobination puller, but I don't have a combination puller for non airbage wheels. I losen the center nut a few turns and yank on the wheel a couple time(don't completly remove the center nut if you do it this way untill the wheel is loose)
