would this be bad?

i was thinking the other day instead of buying one of thosecarrier bearing x members that dont have the half moon sticking down below the framerail, ohow bout i just cut off that half moon shape. would i run into any problems if i did this now or when i lower my truck?

the actual crossmember hangs below the frame rails too, not just thoes half moon tabs. i dont know why GM made that cross member hang soo low.
your gonna have to buy the new crossmember bud, sorry

most of the aftermarket x members rasie the carrier bering an 1" or so to put your driveline back at the right angle.
