do you know how to check it or what the pressure is supposed to be. I have an ascess panel so i can easily pull it out the gas tank.

well my dad has a efi 4.3 in his astro and the psi is 65 you can get a fuel pressure tester at any auto store and they can tell you how much psi

Or you can lift up the access panel, turn the key to the on position and see if you hear the pump turn on to prime the line.

if it is turning on it still might be bad and not pushing the right psi its just best to buy the $35 psi tester i have had 2 or 3 run but not pust the right psi out of the box

I actually had good PSI and the fuel pump turned on, yet it was still bad. I replaced mine with a Walbro 255.

did you check for leaks while the plenum was off? The fuel pressure regulator will bleed off sometimes, the poppets could be leaking? I always check initial pressure, then turn the truck over and watch the gauge to see if the pressure still continues to stay up. Ive seen this problem a bunch of times on CPI engines. What is "perfect fuel pressure"? Is it 55-60 with the key in the "run" position without starting the truck? It should hold that pressure for a while with out bleeding off.

Problem lies in the pump or fuel pressure regulator.

Well she is running. Thanks to all of you how gave me ideas and hints on what it could be. My idea was some how the injectors wernt working cause she was not trying to turn over unless ether was srayed in the intake. and i knew my fuel delvery was fine. friend suggested wiggling the wire to the injector to see if connection was bad.. well for some reason the dummy head who owned the truck before me was splice happy... it actually had two splaices in it, and one came out. so again think all of you for everything.
