CODE 28

well i am getting code 28, I looked it up in haynes book "code 28- Quad driver module circuit"
Any ideas whats it is or relates to, i know i do have to replace the EGR valve (its the electric type) and a knock sensor.
This is a v6 4.3 TBI (Vin letter Z) 1995 auto

I looked it up and it said it was: Code 28: Auto transmission range pressure switch error

well solved the code, had three popping up, that one was (code 28) was due to a loose connection at the safety switch on the side of the transmission, the other 2 was a bad Knock sensor and egr valve, replaced the knock sensor and the egr valve code Cleared and still hasn't showen up since, I also ran some seafoam through the brake vac line and blew out a bunch of crap, was able to clear all the codes with the reader ( they turned historic) ran the vehicle some more and no codes so far. Which is good, i really didn't want to replace a 200 dollar egr valve (I have the digital valve).

I don't blame you there - I have the digital EGR on my Camaro. I replaced it with a $50 junkyard part when it went bad because I didn't want to shell out $200 or more for a new one.
