ok so of course im gonna need posi...but right now ill have the wynjammer with 35 shot and a couple other small mods (5spd manual)...what are all your thoughts...should i stick with the same gears n just get a locker? i read something about SLP making a package with gears/lsd/and a cover in another thread would that be a smart move? pleaze i need some opinons anything would help

probly 3.73 or 4.10 if it is a 4 cyl.
if you wanna find out here are the rpo codes. they should be in the glovebox

alright im at work right now ill check it when i get home....what should i hope for...what you think would be good gears tho, without knowing mine...if you had a 2.2l 4cyl 5spd with the jammer n 35 shot...what gears would you want to be running
its a toss up between 3.73 and 4.10. usually with forced induction you dont have to run 4.10's just because they are almost to short. but you haveing a 4cyl i dont know. i guess i would have to say if it more of an eveyday driver (or something you use alot) than 3.73's are good but if its gonna be strictally a track or track/show truck than i guess you could use 4.10's.
well i've heard that taller tires help with 1/4 mile times so for best performance you could go with a taller tire and shorter gears (4.10's will act like 3.73's with a tall enough tire on there).
oh and i have no experiance with any of this stuff its just all info that i have read mostly obi's stuff

if you read my first post i specifically said RIGHT NOW alls i have is....im not even drivin the damn thing im just throwin bags n bags of money at it..just finished the exterior n now im workin under the hood...right now i only have 2gs in my slush fund so im waitin a few

hey man chill out... you could do 6psi and 25 shot all day to cool the intake charge(which 6psi is pretty cool anyway). i run 10psi with two stages of nitrous i haven't used yet.

just statin my case man...i dont have any problems...but yea i am buildin the engine soon enough so it should go pretty good...my only problem right now is gettin off the line...with just nitrous w/out posi i have trouble gettin grip in second so i gotta figure something out

50 shot messin around 75 racing...i already have 9" wide tires but if it becomes a problem after i get an lsd ill get slicks

If you really wanna have some gearing to propell that thing throw some 4.56's under it lol.You probably have 4.10's in it now so the next step up would be the 4.56's.Don't know how much of an effect it will have on a 4 banger but it sure would pull HARD down low lol.

If you've got 3.73s or 4.10s already, I would suggest leaving those in there and just upgrading to an posi or a locker. Anything else and 1) you'll have even more traction problems and 2) your gears (mainly 1st and 2nd) will be too short.

Yeah but think of just how low those first few gears will be lmao!!Traction who needs traction lol.
