I was considering doing a rear disc brake conversion, has anyone done it or knows the best company to buy it from?

The most common choices to rear disk would either be going to a junk yard, and finding a compatible rear end off of a newer blazer with disk brakes (Requires parking brake cable, used rear end, and probably new rotors/pads), or SSBC which is about $800.

I fixed your spelling/grammar, which was about 80% wrong in those two sentences.

Since your next question is "What is SSBC?", look here:

I've heard of most people doing the same type of conversion.

Best bet is to look up the RPO codes, go to junkyard and find a 98+ blazer witht he same gearing as your truck, and swap the rear end.

There is a Summit brand conversion kit, SSBC kit, a guy on S10Forum has a shop with a kit, you can swap an entire Blazer rear with disc (IIRC the 4dr and Reg cab trucks are same length and thus use same e-brake cables or just grab the donor parts from the Blazer/Jimmy and get the S10Warehouse Spacers

x2 on the blazer rear discs. Thats the cheapest way to go.
Or you can go with the rear discs from say a 94-02 f-body.
Those may be a little too much for your factory front brakes tho.
The blazers also have 2 piston front discs that might be a nice upgrade for the truck.
I dont know much about that swap tho it may be more of a pain than its worth.
Firefighter on here (persio) has the camaro rear discs and i think its the c5 vette front brakes on his blazer

I know there are a lot of ways to convert to discs with junkyard parts but the main idea with this kit was to include everything you need for a headache-free installation for 350 bucks. These aren't for sale yet, but I wanted to get your feedback on what might be improved.

right thar

So to completely do a rear disc conversion you need the rear axle already setup for rear disc brakes.

you'll need a proportioning valve, the best way is to get one out of the truck you got the rear axle out of ...

i would but it was a craiglist buy

You'll need the proportioning valve,or it's a good idea to, in order for it to work right, other wise your going to go through a lot of front pads.

dose the year of the blazer matter? I think its an 01 rearend i picked up, for the proportioning valve.

As long as it had disks in the rear, year doesn't matter

On a 2nd gen its a bolt in swap. If you can figure out how to remove it you can put it back.

First gens depends on the year, most all of them have 3 hole backing plates. Some late 1st gens and 2nd gens used a 4 hole backing.

Anyone still need help on this?
Parts needed
03 s10 with 98+ blazer 4x4 parts, all the parts regarding the rear brakes

Work around for the Prop Valve:
This works fantastically

http://www.insanebowties.org/ssbc instructions/page4.pdf

Snipit from the instructions I used:

disassemble your rear end and . You have to do the WHOLE thing. pull the axles out, remove the drum backing.

put the brackets on - use the same bolts

slide the axles back through (make sure the bearings on the brackets are still good

"put together" your rear,

slide the rotors on and bolt the calipers (and pads) on and bolt them down.

For my truck, I had to have a shim, what I did was cut the drum backing and used it as a shim since the hole pattern was already there. It worked perfectly.
