This past weakend I installed a Holley 670 cfm throttle body on my 1995 model. The Holley is meant for a 88-91 model. I thought all the electrical hookups were the same. I found out that the tps changed in 91 and my plug would not hookup. I went and got a 91 pigtail and wired it in. The problem is my transmission want change right. It is shifting at lower rpm then it should and my torque converter want fully engage sometimes. With it shifting at lower rpm it makes me believe that my tps is putting out less voltage then what I need. I have a couple of ideas on how to fix my problem but don't know if they will work. One idea will be make a templete plate to mount my original tps on the Holley. Another is to change to voltage output on my 91 tps. Does anyone know what voltage my tps should be putting out at idle and WOT? Any help will be greatly appriciated.

wot needs to be around 4.7 volts. For idle start at .5

Thanks Biglouie for the voltage outputs. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this to work?

I got the Holley to work, the tps does not wire the same on the 95 and 91. Both plugs have a,b,c on them. I wired them a,b,c and stuck a meter on them and got high voltage and as i turned the throttle the voltage decreased. Started switching around the wires until I got it to work. The throttle body is awsome the injectors are so loud my brother thought I had the wynjammer installed when I pulled up at his house. They make a loud winding noise. With my motor being built I noticed about a 15% to 20% power increase. The mod is well worth the time and money.

I'm curious, did your throttle linkage connect to it? My 91 has the newer-style, but it was transition year. I assumed by 95 they would have swapped over. That's part of why I ditched my Holley, since I had to swap my throttle and tv cables, and I could never get the TV set quite right with it. I spent a few months try to tune the thing and finally gave up and went back to the Rochester TBI. It was either rich or lean for me, never a happy medium.

Yes, the linkage is different, I grinded the weld off the Holley throttle linkage and and my factory tbi. Then I put mine on the Holley and put a little weld on it. On the 91 the throttle pulled from the back and mine pulled from the front. I don't have any kickdown cables for the trans mine is all controlled by the tps.
