Anyone using a Dynomax Ultra Flow?
They are on sale in my area and was thinking of getting one for my 02 4.3.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated

I've got the Ultra-Flow on my '98 and a SuperTurbo on my wife's Blazer -- the Ultra Flow is one of the highest CFM mufflers you'll find. The sound is very nice, IMO, and the power gain is decent.

Thanks Super, I forgot you are a Dynomax user.
Any probs running this on a basically stock 4.3 with the added breathing of a AEM intake?

None at all -- check my sig for the Blazer. It's pretty close to stock (comparatively speaking). Of course, it has the SuperTurbo on it. The only thing I would say that might be a concern with only the Ultra-Flow and an intake is that it may flow TOO well (if there is such a thing).
The SuperTurbo is that last mod I did to the Blazer -- all the others have been in place for over a year (or more) -- and I noticed the biggest difference on the freeway. Less pedal is needed to pass, smoother/lower rpm cruising, better economy. I'm thinking the Ultra-Flow should be a little more aggressive sounding (definitely louder) and have a slightly higher gain. Either way you're looking at about 5-10 hp for the intake and exhaust -- maybe a little more, but definitely worht it.
But, to answer your question more directly: I don't foresee any problems with just the Ultra-Flow and the AEM. I'd say go with the SuperTurbo cat-back (I can't find an Ultra-Flow cat-back anywhere, just the individual components) -- you won't regret it.
I'll give a second for the SuperTurbo cat-backs. Was a very nice addition. My only complaint is that tha hanger for the muffler that came with it rusted very quickly. The pipes and the mufflers have not though, and they are what realy count.

Well I bought the Ultra Flow, I like the sound much better than my Flowmaster. We'll see what it sounds like when it gets some carbon in there. I could not pass up the sale for the Ultra Flow welded version, $140 installed. I was looking at the Super Turbo and thought that the Ultra would last longer, and it flows better.
Can an engine flow TOO well? I hope not or I just wasted money.
Even if it does flow TOO well, you didn't waste your money, it's just telling you to get more air into the engine (S/C hint hint... ;) )

No such thing, if you really think about it. You've only got an intake and the cat-back, right? The stock manifolds and stock y-pipe are restricting the exhaust, so the muffler isn't going to flow "too well." Have you driven it yet? The proof is in the test drive!
Honestly, I don't think it's flowing more than it can handle -- unless, of course, you're noticing a lack of power. Don't go so much by the actual "grunt" you feel, but by the difference in acceleration. If the exhaust is VERY free-flowing, you won't feel as much of the low-end grunt, but you'll still accelerate faster.

I will give it a few more days before I say YA or NA. I just thought a muffler that flows 1000 cfm plus would be too much.

Well I am giving up the Dynomax. 2.5 offset/offset welded version used one week.
Any one want it?

Scrap the Dynomax had to wreck the necks to get it off. I have a Flowmaster 40 series with good necks on it and only used a week. 2.5 offset/offset

What is it exactly you didn't like about it.And you shouldn't have had to cut the kneck off to get it removed.

The Dynomax was crimped down to much from the clamps, couldn't pull it off. Didn't like the sound off the Dynomax, much happier with Magnaflow.
