Ok, so my ABS light comes on at 65 miles an hour. Then, my parking brake light flashes at me. Nothing happens other than the lights. There are no DTC's on it. I have ABSOLUTELY no clue. I do have a code for my cam position sensor though. Thats the only things wrong with my truck and i can't figure it out. Anyone have the slightest clue on this???

I just saw something on this on the forum here in the last couple days...but cant remember for the life of me where it was. Someone else might remember reading it..

Forgot to add... my speedometer gets goofy after the lights come on and it jumps around after 65-70. But it's aftr the lights come on. My tach stutters a little also.

Hmm I was thinking the speed sensor until you said the tach stutters, you threw me there. It's worth a try though.

Forget the tach stutter. I forgot it went away when i changed the Crank position sensor. I guess i'll check that out. All in all i've put $40 in this truck so far. Kid didn't take care of it. Minor problems. Waiting to find a big one. But... so far were good. lol

OHHHH....it was something about a brake control module or computer or something....and a ground on the drivers side frame rail that has the potential to go bad...

See, I just needed to sleep on it... does that refresh anyones minds yet?

I had my ABS light come on randomly a few times but it never stayed on for long. I seem to remember reading something about a ground wire on the rad support just in front/below the air box. It was never a problem for long enough that I had to really look into it though.

There has to bee some DTC's, Will your scanner read ABS? Codes may not read current but will in the history.

It's the auto tech prgram at my colleges scanner. It is supposed to read ABS. No codes came up for the brakes.

Ok guys. here we go with a video of the gauge pod while it's messing up. It only does this above 65mph after the ABS light comes on. If the tach is movin it's because i'm gettin on it to get it up to speed.

My 03 had both lights on constant, had the code read & it was a bad module.

I got a good used pump/module for $50 shipped from S10 Warehouse on ebay & installed it & had the ABS system bleed.

No more lights.:)

There is a ground wire, infront of the air box. If you remove the airbox I know you can get to it easily. Air box removal might not be necessary tho. Make sire the ground is clean, as its for the ABS, so im told.

It is a grounding point for a lot of things.

for what its worth, i was having trouble with my ABS. the front brakes where getting way to sensitive and would have the ABS do its thing. so i did my thing.

i took out the fuse to the ABS. the only thing i had to do was tape over the ABS light on the dash AND the emergency brake light. i have brakes still. i never liked ABS. too problematic. call me old school but they work.

as for passing inspection? no problem. its not an emission thing.

Its the ground(s) on other forums on other vehicles the biggest complaint is weird acting abs lights and every one says check the grounds, and that is the biggest culprate.
