just wondering if anyone has ever put 3 or 4 8"s in a reg cab and are you happy with it

ive seen 3 8's done ported it waz a little small on airspace but it still slammed . pretty comparable to a single 12 sealed or 2 10's sealed . though there wasnt much space left to mount an amp .
you might be happier with 2 8's ported . they would be pretty similar in loudness while maintaining sound quality and space to mount an amp .

i know for a fact you can do dual 12's in a reg.cab. you might want to look into dual 10's or something, i think the 8's are doabale but as xtc said, tight on space.

yes you can do dual 12's . but that will depend on the airspace requirement of that specific sub . with most of them plan on being close friends with the steering wheel .
dual 10's wouldnt be AS bad but you will still loose some legroom .
if you are looking to keep the seats all the way back i would look into a pair of 8's in a ported box , or really consider doing a cut through .

well im 6'3" so 12s are out. what i was looking at doing was 4 rf p1 8s on a rf p300 mono amp. they dont have a big mounting depth and 4 would fit. ive just never had 8s so i wanted to get some opinions

8's in a box built for them will surprise you . most people look at 8's and turn up their nose cuz they think 8's arent "loud".
a guy here locally with 3 8's ported in his ranger pulls 145dB tuned low for daily driving . Loyd Lowry a MECA competitior had a hell of a year with a wall of 8's 16 of them to be exact . he was doing 153 -154 dB again tuned REALLY low to be doing those numbers .he did all of that playing 36hz . but he also drives the car and wanted it to sound good . had he tuned higher i think he would have been well into the 158-160 dB range .

its all in the install, the box to be more specific . if the box isnt tailored for the subs . the subs wont play to their full potential .

I have 2 Kicker L7 8's in my truck. It's extended cab though. They bump really nice! I sell you one of'm if you want just one.

I think most 8's sound like 6's. If anything you can go with 1 P1 10in, and a 600watt amp (even tho the sub is rated for 300 max). I have 2 p1's and a 1200watt amp in my ext cab.

I have heard some Resonant engineering 8's in standard cabs and they sounded awesome. Those are the only 8's that have really impressed me.
