Truck is all MESSED UP

When i start my truck it runs good for about 2 min and then just starts misfireng i just changhed my plugs today its still acting up and raw fuel is just coming out the exhaust any tips on fixing it? Please give me some help its got the msd box and coil and plug wires its acted like this before and i changed my fuel presure regulator, but that was about 8k ago so it surely couldnt be bad again by the way it only has 64k 2002 Chevy Blazer Xtreme

you might have leaking poppet valves.

Check your firing order. Check your 1&3 plug wires to make sure you didn't switch them by accident. Did they give you the right plugs?

i got the rapid fire 8 and i only did one plug at a time, what is a poppet valve? No codes came up but man it burns hella fuel and doesnt produce any power just like its being flooded, all the fuel injectors read 11 ohms

poppet valves are like injectors. their are six of them. the amount of fuel pressure determins how much they open but i have heard they can get stuck.

are the poppet valves in the little thing with all the injectors that has the spider tubes coming out of it, its CPI

You should not have CPI. CPI's last year was in 95 you have an injector for each cylinder insted of one main injector divided into six poppets

He doesnt have the poppet valves either, in 02 they used Multi Techs instead of the older popper styles. Use a mirror if you have one and peak into the intake and see if there is signs of fuel puddling!

didn't that newer injection system come out in 03'? i am pretty sure i heard that 02' models used same system as 96'-01'

Not that GM could use leftover parts, but 02 was the change to Multi Tech year!! ALso the same year they dropped EGR and Air Injection which was due to the new injectors having much better control and consistancy between each injector. Poppets ones never delivered the same amount within a decent % as the multi do's now.

I've never really liked msd cause they'er made with cheap parts. I've got 4 sitting on my work bench I have to fix for some buddys. the msd 6al won't work well with the 02-up. suposedly you can use an msd stacker box.

I'm useing a mallery hyfire box on mine right now with no issues.
