bought a cdplayer today and i was wondering what would be the easiest way to splice into the existing wires with the wires off the back of the cd player without having to buy a wireing harnes

uhm, to make this as simple as you can - factory colors are as followed:


red - 12v (i believe constand)
yellow - 12 v (accessory i think)
black - ground
blue - (you proabally wont have this unless you have a stock amp) - remote
orange - i think its the dimmer (i never use it)

there will be 8 wires that are very similar, as in one will be green, one will be green with a black stripe, those are your speaker wires, the black striped ones are negative, the solid wires ar positive. that is the jist of it. if your lucky the colors on the harness off the new one and the harness off the truck will all be the same (kinda rare). but basically take out the old cd player, cut the wires with enough room to hook them up again if you ever take them out, then you can either solder them (best bet) or use wire nuts and electrical tape (what i do, i dont wanna sit there that long)


word of advice. the connectors will only run you $30 total...i reccomend just getting them. they are cheap and speed up the process a lot!
