a headlight bulb ?

i think i asked this way back on the planet, but now that i have the HIDs (9006) i am currently working on doing projectors from an s10, but all the sets i see have dual 9005's, am i screwed? i think that if push comes to shove than i can order 9005 bulbs for my ballasts... but i don't want to cough up the dough for new 90-something-dollars-a-pop-bulbs

I am pretty sure the only diffrence between the two is the 05's have the little "cap" on the end and the 06's dont.

one of my silverstars just went out...i'm gonna get the twin pack and just replace them both. i'm sure they've lost some brightness..i've had them for 3 years. but i really like the look of that hid kit...i'm seriously comtemplating redoing my grill, clear corners, headlights, bulbs and errything...

I think its 05 no caps and 06 caps.

3 years on some silverstars, thats great. After I bought mine some said they don't like them because they don't last. Bull****. I've had mine for over a year and still shining like the day I put them in. I did buy some for my fog lights and they blew out about a month later but I didn't buy the right ones because they don't make them. I bought the ones will fit but are not the correct number for my truck. I am going to take them back to walmart and try it again and if they blow again I will just get my money back and buy the correct ones by a diff. manuf.
