Will installing poly body mounts give me any body lift? also do poly body mounts make the ride any worse?

I installed them on mine. It lifts it maybe a 1/16". The poly were the same height as the stock rubber ones except the poly don't squish when you drop the body back down. There is a noticeable difference in ride quality. There are more vibrations mainly but you get a better feel for the road.

I am think about eventually installing a body lift should i keep the rubber mounts or go with the poly mounts?
I dont know much about poly body mounts, but here is what I do know. You arent gonna get any body lift if you dont want it. If you are buying them bigger than stock, then of course they will give you lift. If you are buying stock replacements than no. (maybe a few cm's because of the compression of the old ones, i dont know) They will make your ride a little stiffer, will you feel it? not if you arent looking for it. As far as I know they will quiet body squeaks a tad, just becasue the body cant move on the mounts as much. I am no expert, so if anyone thinks this information is bad tell me, i would like to learn more. This is just the way I have always understood it

Ok heres some info for ya. The poly ones will squeak like crazy..Energy kits are notorius for it, now if you go with a PST poloygraphite kit, its much quieter, a little softer and you wont have to change them out in a year or 2.

I havn't had problums with Energy's kits squeaking (just make sure to grease them). I have Energy's master kit for everything but the body(pain to install), the ride is firmer but unless you hit one hell of a bump it's not bad.

A few tips when installing new body mounts...
1) In total, there are 6 body mounts on a regular cab and 8 on an extended cab. Work one side at a time. Loosen the opposite side but don't remove the bolts. Remove the bolts from the side you are working on.
2) If possible wrap a chain around the frame and secure it to the floor. When your jacking the body off the frame the frame will want to lift also due to the loss of weight. The chain will only allow the frame to rise a little, therefore you will have to jack it up less.
3) Keep your doors closed during this procedure. It will add structural integrity to the body to prevent twisting.
4) I got 2 small jacks, one on the front and one on the floorpan in the middle of the door. Use a long 2x4 on the jack in the middle of the door. This will disperse the weight over the entire floorpan and will reduce twisting.
5) Go back and forth jacking up the jacks evenly until you are able to remove the body mounts. Slip the new ones in.
6) Lower it back down evenly making sure it still lines up with the bed and put the bolts back in, but do not torque the down.
7) Repeat on the otherside
8) Finally tighten all the bolts down.
It took me only a couple hours to do after I figured out the chain trick on the frame. Going into it I thought it would be a difficult process but it wasn't so bad.
