View Full Version : T&T Motorsports 1" Throttle body spacer.
Ok, so about a two months ago I contacted a kid in Myrtle Beach SC who was selling a throttle body spacer. The spacer is built by T&T motorsports out of wampsville NY. He told me it was suppposed to be for a 2.8 (smaller throttle bores than a 4.3, 5.0, and a 5.7) After some shipping issues it finally came. Install was easy, just like any other throttle body spacer, and I have driven it for a couple of days now and like the sound of it. The bores are too big, built to fit the 4.3 and the small block V8's. not really a problem since one of those will be in soon, and I was gonna put a spacer on it anyway. No real world results yet, I put a full tank into the truck tonight, and will put 400 miles on the old girl this weekend. It claims a 15 hp gain (yeah 15) and a 2 mpg gain (that is a little more believable) I will keep you posted on the mpg gain if there is any. The tires still dont spin, so, im really doubting much of an hp gain.
yeah you cant really belive those #'s that they give you. i would say 2 hp gain and 1/2 mpg increase thats it. but i would really like to hear the results

my tb spacer didnt do anything noticable for me.
*Update* Well, I messed up my numbers on the way up there, so I had to take them on the way down. On the way back I got 326 miles on my odometer (first time I have ever seen it that high) I put 17 gallons in the truck tonight, so a little math shows us it was about 18mpg. not bad, picked up a solid 2 mpg and the truck pulls hard as hell between 40mph and 65mph. This was also driving at 85 or so most of the way home with some in town driving. At 70 I should have picked up 3mpg. Overall i am very happy, the truck has a little new breath in it, and I am picking up mileage.
