I know the wynjammer s/c is the way to go, but I am curious about this.
Why cant I use a powerdyne (for example) w/ a 6 psi pulley on my 4 cyl. if I removed my a/c and fabbed up a bracket what would stop me?
I am gonna turbo mine anyway, but I just thought I would ask.

Import, you know my opinion on this. Most anything, given the time, can be done. That being said, tools, truck down-time, fabrication and technical resources are gonna be at the top of your list. No doubt in my mind if I ever get my hands on one it'll fit my CPI, know what I mean?
Go for it. You'll prolly get 10-15 psi!
frosty, rumor has it that al is makein a kit for the cpi

That would be nice to get 10 or more psi!
I can afford the downtime and I have access to the machine shops. The only thing I dont have is the 2000+ for the s/c!
Now a turbo I can do!

Just wondering why you're asking about using a 4.3 kit...since Al makes this:

Yeah I know about the kit, it is sweeeett!
I was just curious as to if I fabbed up a bracket for the PowerD then could I use it.

Yes you could do this whole ordeal, but a few things to consider and watch for.
A SC head is a SC head to begin with. Second is to watch boost levels and set them where you want.A V-6 at 7 PSI would make around 11 PSI on a 4 cylinder due to the fact the air amount for the 4 is much less than the 6 while its moving 6 cylinder CFM's.
Next how are you gonna deal with fuel since the 4's cant use FMU's and you cant tune for it or add larger injector. PIggy backing like the wynjammer kit needs to be looked at.
Thats really the only 2 areas that need to be dealt with. The bracket is a piece of cake, just have to make sure where ever the kit is mounted and bracket made you need and idler pulley close by to run around before hitting the SC pulley to keep the largest amount of surface are on the pulley for the SC covered with belt to stop slipping. Then a MSD BSTM to pull timing when in boost and as easy way to control ping versus tuning since most dont deal with tuning 4 cylinder motors.

Cool, you know your stuff!
I just wanted to see if it could be done. I figured there would be a bunch of work!
