I am new to all the performance stuff, and have a Wynjammer on the way (as recommended by several on this site).
A MSD 6a was also recommended to go with it for better MPG and performance.
Is there a difference in the two ignitions?
I can get the Mallory much cheaper and it is "supposed" to b the same thing as the MSD.

Any input would be appreciated:)

The MSD is more popular, has more accessories available for performance/racing enhancements and pays more contingencies for those that do that.

That being said, Mallory generally puts more features in their units and are just as reliable. Heck, they were the only game in town when I was growing up. Mallory is also the less expensive of the 2. Somebody has to pay all that advertising and contingencies ;).

I use MSD but have used Mallory plenty. Your choice.

Thank you for the info..., just ordered the MSD 6A...,
Now, do I need a coil? perfomance wires? anything else to go with the Wynjammer?
I plan to use the NGK TR6 plugs, does that sount right?

I'd add a MSD coil, also gap the plugs smaller because the boost from the Supercharger makes it harder for the spark to jump the gap.

The stock coil will work but for how long is generally the issue. Capacitive discharge, multiple strike ignitions are very hard on coils.

MSD or Accel?
Now will need upgraded plug wires too?
Anything else?
(this will be a daily driver, not for the race track:)
Thanks guys!!!
