so, throughout my pondering while it's too cold to work outside, i thought of this idea: what if i grafted a Mustang Mach 1 hood onto the Deluxe hood??
heres the mach 1, for all those not in tune with their ford side

i might have to graft it in with a 2 inch cowl, but i really like the hood. heres what it turned out like on my Ford pickup...

yes, i know cervinis makes it, but im talking STEEL here boys!
I love my cervinis hood on my silver ford, but i dont know how the fiberglass will hold up to the twists of autocrossing ...

My feeling on scoops is, if I don't need it, then why spend the money? The only hood I've seriously considered was a stock looking, lift-off, fiberglass one, just to shave weight. They're under $200. Problem is that they're S10/Blazer hoods....not Sonoma/Jimmy hoods. On 2nd gens there is a difference in looks.

i'm going to require a tad more clearance, and my hood is trashed. Like big butt dents in it. I only need an additional inch of clearance, but i thought if im gonna spend money, id better get6 something i like. I looked into lift off's but they kinda suck ballz when you dont have somewhere to set them, or if you need to do quick engine tuning ...

You don't have a cab or bed, Thats where the lift off on the drag truck always got sit.
I wish they would come out with a l-88 fiberglass hood for use with hinges. That style and the single cowl is the only ones I like on a first gen.
