Please, help me in identifying this electrical item

I bought my 2003 S10 used. Just behind the battery is what looks like an aluminum heat sink. it has be 2 electrical connectors facing the cabin. On the heat sink it has some foam tape and look like something belongs there. Any ideas?

In the picture I circled an electrical connector I found disconnected. Where does it go?

The aluminum heat sink is the PCM. Dont mess with it if you dont know what ur doing.
The connector prob was for some test port, option not installed, etc. I would almost thnk Power ant, but to be honest never seen even the highest optioned s-series with one.
