somebody ever heard of a v-8 turbo kit or something like it at the exeption of the gale banks twin turbo ....
i was thinking of that for future plans on my truck ...
heard to mouch of these turbocharger 4 cylinders i wanna make them think i got a small poor ass engine turbocharged but id have an all forged 350 with turbo ... that's what id like to have but i need to find a kit or a place that would have some sort of kit ..
thanks alot guys
and begains the big debate.
I've reserched this and can't find one single person that agrees on anything when it comes to forced induction.
here's the facts. if you run a large charger with a smaller charger you can eliminate most lag. you don't want to run 2 same size turbos. turbos make more power than a supercharger because it basically garbage power and at first glance seem cheaper, but to have a setup to run one all weekend costs some dough. That will increase backpressor. You can however setup a simple 3-4psi turbo for half the price of a supercharger and make the power as a 6psi charger. they'er no good on gas engines for everyday drivers and they are not as dependable(requireing more maintenace) as s/c. you have a bigger issue with heat soak and you can also bake your oil(this is a major down point).
here's the plus side of owning a turbo charged race car. Properly setup they will take down nitrus and supercharged engines all day.

Well with all the space a V8 takes up in our bays the easyest thing to do might be to modify a STS remote turbo for a V8 Sliverado to fit your S10.

what's an STS remote turbo for a v8 silverado ?
thanks for the help
i've heard of the sts but dont know much about it. a remote turbo goes under the truck some where along the exhaust. it just makes it so you dont have to put it under the hood. and also helps keep it cooler because no engine heat. but you usually have a little more turbo lag due to the turbo being farther down the exhaust and longer intake tubing

I have been researching the rear mounted turbo systems for awhile and It is a very easy set up to create. The STS website is really informative and works well. A guy I work with has one hooked up in his alero. You can use any turbo set up you want basically, you dont have the restrictions of underhood space, plus the engine bay temperature never sky rockets.
