a while ago i bought some apc retro 3d tails off of ebay. thing, is , the guy sent me the chrome ones. i figure i will just take a wire wheel on my dremel to get the big areas clean, but, what can i do to get in the tight spots?

is it actually chrome? or is it just painted on chrome look?

Sand sand sand!
Since you are gonna paint it anyway, you can also use some laquer thinner on a rag.
How did you get the plastic cover off?

i agree with lowriderbowtie. sand it, low spots use some bondo or other body filler, sand smooth, clean, throw on something to make the paint adhere better and paint.
if you use bondo i think you will be the first person to ever use it inside a tail light. but if it works hey go for it
How did you get the plastic cover off?
I don't belive the retro 3ds have a plastic cover. are these the ones your talking about

oh ok I thought it was the other type. Dont forget to prep the bondo w/ a little paint thinner (wipe on then wipe off) to clean the surface so the paint will stick better.
