View Full Version : Thinking of a new exhaust
Im probably going to to a exhaust job at the local exhaust place. See if they cant do true duals. Trying to figure out a good cheap muffler. Or a glasspack. But i dont want to sound like a ricer with the fartcannons. Give me some advice.

don't go with glass packs!!
dont really know on a dual system. but i heard a 40 series the other day on a 4.3 sounded so nice and so deep. heard barola sounds really good. and i have a glass pack on mine with not cat and to be honest i dont really like the sound. only time it sounds good is at or just below red line and thats only because it just loud. but like i said never heard a dual system on a 4.3 so i couldnt be 100% sure
and dont worry a 4.3 will never really sound ricey its just to big of a motor.

thats real nice looking frostilicus...
Nice times frosty, only cars i saw do that good when i went bracket racing was actual built race cars with huge slicks. The s10s that were there with v8s didnt do that well.
Oh, and how hard was the electric pump install.

Thanks JROD. Get lots of stares on that through the frame exhaust. :)
Electric water pump? Nothing to it. Well, not quite nothing, but I could give you a step by step on how I did it on my application. Not hard.
If you want to email it to me.

I like no muffler at all. Still havn't desided on weather to run a dual system with Straight Pipes right out of eah header or to use a SLP y-pipe into the cat and a second y-pipe after for a spilt rear setup.
