View Full Version : installing flowmaster
the question is can i splice a flowmaster 50 series into the stock pipes with a reducer on the tailpipe from 2.5" to 2.25" and still get the performence gains that they claim or do i need a 2.5" tailpipe. the reason im asking is i would like the ease of a direct bolt-on but those are around $300+ and i figure i could do this for under $125. any input would be great thanks.

Around here, muffler shops charge about $50-75 to bend a tailpipe in. Put the muffler on and drive it to the muff shop.
Other than that, I'd say you'd sacrifice a little. Maybe 3-7 hp?
