You first gen. guys know what Im talking about. Well, at least the ones who've
tried to upgrade their rear speakers(6x9").. ..
Some of you may or may not know these are made:

These are custom speaker grills that give you an extra 1" or so of mounting depth for you
aftermarket 6x9s. I think American International makes them.
I just got them yesterday
Anyway, they only come in black. Their not made out of cheap sh|tty plastic.
There's only 2 bad things about it. One is mounting the speakers on the grill... They dont
provide any fasteners to attach the speaker onto the grill itself, but it does come
with the long mounting screws tohold the assembly onto the interior pannel.
I ended up going to Lowes and buying 1.5" screws & nuts to hold the speaker to the grill
as you can see in the pic they stand out a little, no bigge.

The other bad thing is, now people can see right through ur window whats behind
those grills and might be temped to break in and jack em.

I got the pair at crutchfield.com for $25, after shipping and everything it was about $31. It arrived in less than a week.

Also, if your ordering a bunch of stuff at once, enter promo code: pv1kb-gphji-b0xqt
at checkout you get $20 off a $200 or more purchase. ( so do i)
but you dont have to if you dont want to.
More pics can be found HERE.
Finally, Im able to enjoy my rear speakers pounding a little bit
Hope this helps someone.
