Okay got a 03 gmc sonoma with exhaust leak in the weld of seam on the y pipe. Bought the truck a couple months ago, previous owner put on dual pipes but looks like he did it himself, I.e. Crappy welds and no hangers just sh*tty welded angle iron. So what's a quick fix for now? Really wanna get headers and some sideswept exhaust eventually. What's your guys opinions on cats and exhausts? Single, dual, sideswept, straight back? My first truck but I've wanted one of these trucks for 10 yrs or more just wanna do it right.......

Depends on what you like, IE. True duals = a waste of time a street driven truck never sees the RPM That true duals would help at. if you want the look of duals stick with a new "Y" Or "H" Pipe, but generaly side swept single out is gonna be the best bet (IMO) Gibson and Magnaflow are preety popular brands but a a new cat back system from them is gonna run you 3-$500.
Straight piped DONT DO IT! Lol youll just need a hearing aid early.
Personaly im not gonna have a catalytic converter much longer (Gutting it and welding in a through pipe)
on these trucks side swept probly looks best or just dump it at the rear wheels heh

I'd just dump a single pipe behind the cab
