03 gmc sonoma ZQ8 160k+ miles on it what can I do to help this truck out? It's got dual pipes(not true), an Airaid CAI, the alternator looks bigger than stock, water pump looks new and there was a module close to AIT sensor that wasn't hooked up AAA Performance Tuning Ultra Power is what it says but I took that sh*t off. Anyways what can I do to help performance on my truck. New to owning a truck and love this ride...... Any suggestions about to replace MAF, O2 sensors and radiator and all cooling system hoses and thermostat
Wanna keep same engine till it sh*ts the bed:p
You can remove the diverter on the throttle plate, or install a CFM Tech throttle blade. Doesn't really add any power, but it improves throttle response. You could also have the ECM retuned. As far as the maintenance items, what do you need to know?

Like stated above, Plugs, Wires, Cap and Rotor, Fuel Filter, Engine Oil and Filter. For the love of God DON'T use a FRAM Filter... Put GM plugs back in it. Some guys run a cooler Thermostat, and install Electric Fans, ditching the fluid clutch fan.

AGREED with JAY use a WIX Filter trust us
Napa and Carquest filters are made by Wix also. Just be sure to use their better line of filters. I've used Gunk brand radiator flush, bought it from Carquest, did a really good job.

Hey wait you are not promoting mt TB mod or my PCM tuning. LOL J/K
I didn't know you were doing PCM tuning. And the throttle body is a nice piece.

I'll do it.
Shawn (Xtreme80) makes a real nice poorted and polished Throttle Body with a modified throttle blade, for better throttle response, and maybe even fuel economy if ya grandma your truck every once in a while.
There, did it.....lol

Whats up with those Wix filters? Im assuming they r oil filters... but y r they so good? And ive been using k&n oil filters, r these ok?
Wix makes all kinds of automotive filters. They use top quality materials. The k&n oil filters are made well, but for the price difference I would go with Wix. The construction of the Wix filters is similar if not the same as the k&n. A while back when I worked at a parts store, we used a filter cutter and cut all of the filters we sold open. Somewhat surprisingly, the house brand filter was even made better than the Fram. Fram uses cardboard end caps, cardboard center tube and very little filter media. Wix and k&n both use steel end caps, a perforated steel center tube, and silicone anti drain back valves.

AC Delco, Wix, NAPA gold and Baldwin are all I will ever use.
I can't find the comparison but if you want to see it, I will.
