fuel emission box delete?

so on my 97 blazer, i took the rear bumber off, and on the driver side behind the tire there's a box on outside frame, that 2 fuel lines going into it. and another hose thats bout 3/4 rubber.
in order to make my custom bumber i need to relocate this or just delete it. im sure it has summin to do with emissions as sumone told me.
any idea's bout deleting it, or should i mount it on the inside the frame.

It's the Charcoal canister for the EVAP system. It keeps the fuel odor down.

IIRC when I did mine I just did some "tie strap mods" I just moved the hoses and tie strapped them out of the way.

Just move it. I kept mine and it took like 10 minutes to fab the mount. Granted my bed is off but it shouldn't be to hard to move.

just bent up a quick bracket at work. and detached the lines off the box and bent the hard lines and extended the plastic ones.
