I know the 32 is EGR valve however i put a new one in there around 5-7000 miles ago. Why would it do this now? and what is the code 38 for? i have a 94 c1500 (i know its not a s10) but its got the amazing 4.3. auto trans if it helps.

I forget, is your EGR run by a solenoid or is it straight vacuume powered? We've found that the code can have nothing to do with what it says is wrong, but can have something to do with an unrelated part...
Might be the EGR valve solenoid or a vacuum leak, not the EGR valve itself causing the code.
Code 38 is TCC brake switch circuit error.
