i have a 12in sub, and a std cab truck, no where to put it except on the seat in the center
it doesnt fit behind the seat because the seat is all the way back...where i need it. any ideas?
i wanted to keep the bench bottom mount back rests to the back wall of the cab so it opens up the space in the middle a little bit, is it possible for me to cut the bench seat without messing it up

Could move the seat forward? lol, no but really. im six two, and my seat is not all the way back. umm the only thing i can thnk of is custom fab a box and make it a REALLY tight fit. unless you mean the sub itself has to large of a mounting depth. in which case i would sugest a shallow mount sub they don't sound as nice, but you could make it fit.
as far as cutting the seat the goes... if your gonna mod the bench you might as well get buckets im sure with bucket you could make it fit as some of the buckets dont have as thick a back as the bench, is it a 60/40 bench?

Over kill mucH? i think you are gonna need to put that in the truck bed or get a shallow mount ten, or a pair of tens. i see what you meant by cutting the bench. i would highly recemend you NOT try to cut it. if you were thinking what i think you where. it would not be safe at that point.

good luck, lots of threads to get ideas from here. some of my ideas were "borrowed" lol.
alot of the guys on here would say just build a console, its what i did but mines not very well done lol, theres a link to my project in my sig if you want to see it.

i actually checked out ur thread the other day, i dont have too many ideas on exterior. i wanna "modernize" the interior and possibly drop a 4.3 into it next winter. but thats something that my wallet has to approve of lol

It seems like a lot of work for a subwoofer. My cousin has a ranger that has a bench seat and no room for a sub. We built a small box into the underside of the dash with a cerwin vega stealth smax. It's not the loudest, but it's definitely enough to keep up with his focal components and it looks pretty wicked. Plus he kept his beloved bench. I'll see if I can't find a picture.
