What happened?

Where did my sig go? I now see a line that says "my sig was too big" yet I see non-VIP members with sigs larger than mine was? I know I haven't been here in a long while but ???

Not sure who did that but a standard sig should only be 5 lines worth, even if it's a picture. You probably weren't here for a while so someone just took the liberty instead of PMing you.

I have noticed an increase in the number of members having large sig's that need to be reduced, so they will be advised to reduce it or we will reduce it for them.

It helps the people with slower internet speeds load threads faster.

BC, your sig is no larger than mine was. Don't seem right to me for someone to delete a VIP member's sig without the common courtesy of contacting them first, while NON-VIP members have even larger sigs. Your explanation of load speed makes sense, but a simple heads-up woulda been nice. Common courtesy goes a long way.

I agree....I dont remember what your sig looked like and there is no discrimination b/w VIP and non-VIP members on this matter. If it was less than 5 lines then throw it back up. We can't police stuff like that all the time, so anyone you see with a large sig can be reported via PM and I will look into it.

X2 VIPs have no extras when it comes to sigs.


It prolly happened back when another mod that hasn't been on in awhile had the wild hair to clean things up. There was more than one member that wasn't just pushing the rules but their sigs were longer than most write ups and how toos. It was before I became a mod but mine was also deleted with no warning, I had a link it it I cant find now and I threw a big stink about it.

I don't see how anyone could get upset or be surprised when something like this happens. Especially a member that has been around for awhile. It's right in the forum rules and there has been several times sig size has been mentioned.

I do fully understand the rules, but as a case in point, EVERY one of you who have responded to me here, have a sig that is larger than mine was. And the real point is NOT the sig being deleted. The point is the lack of common courtesy in the form of a heads up. A simple "hey man, your sig is too big please fix it".

Obviously someone deleted it and is not fessing up to it or is no longer here to fess up and apologize. Get over it like a grown man and move on. I am sure you have the picture saved on your computer, so put it back up.
