I am going to be helping a friend do a CPI conversion on his 89 s-10. I know that i am going to have to change stuff in the fuel system, electrial and the engine mangment.

What computers did the 92 CPI use because later ones had the 4l60-e?
Will i be able to use the TBI gas tank and sending unit?
What kind of electrial modifactions am i looking at?

What is everyones thoughts on this?

I can get you the ECM number tomm. Used to know it by heart, oh well. It's dark outside.

You can use the TBI tank and sending unit, just change over the pump to the CPI pump (dimensionally the same).

I hope you have the harness from the CPI. If not I'll EM you the wiring diagrams for both. You'll have the pin numbers and wire colors that way. Enough differences to force you to be ingenious but can be done if you don't have the cpi harness.

I think it's an excellent idea but I'm a little prejudiced.

that would be great if you could get me the wiring diagrams. You can send them to wr-bland@wiu.edu I wish i had the harness but the engine did not come with the harness

no i don't think that would work the 93 up were the electronic tranny where the 92 were not and the computers were different i belive

the cpi injector only has one injector it just splits off in to six different popets
