I have a 99 std cab. I have some 10in boxes from my 91 but they don't fit.

You can get 12s in there as long as they are not too deep and you can fab up your own enclosure.Ive had 1/2 10's and 12' in mine. Most all comfortabley.
I have a ported cab now...lol
The small box is going to limit your overall sound and power that can be applied, but with shallow subs they have now it helps a great deal getting subs in small places.

I guess my stuff is to old and big for what I want now. Been thinking about maybe a couple 8's should fit good. I don't want to rock the neighborhood just hear and feel the bass.

I've got a kicker shallow mount 10" in one of their boxes. It was a loaded box kind of deal. I can post pics if you like. I think I lost maybe the last 2 clicks on the seat. I'm 6' tall and I'm comfortable.

Cant tell much abt the box. Particleboard?

i like how you mounted your EQ, but that is one blurry pic.

Yes particle board a good step up from osb for me. I did not seal it and it sounded good for a while but something happened and the speaker kind of rattles. No cone separation but it is old, and had to unbridge the amp because the protection lite came on(old to). The eq has some gaps at the sides I would love to get some of the plastic sheet in that sticky post.

Got an 03 Sonoma with one shallow mount Memphis 10" in a ported box.. my seat position is exactly the same as if there wasn't anything back there. And i'll put it like this, every time someone sits in my truck and hears it, I get the same response "That's ONE 10" speaker???" 158871588815889

The Memphis Shallows are great subs but need quite a bit of power to push.
A cheaper and more effecient alternative is the Clarion shallow 10 or the ne MB Quart shallow 10's Both are priced well, have a clean sound and dont need alot of power.
Kicker shallow and the RF shallows sound like poo IMO. The JL shallow sounds nice but is usually pricey. The Infnity shallow sounds flat....no pun intended

I like the kicker shallow I have, but I'm just using it to reinforce the bottom end. I'm not looking to rattle the neighbours windows..

I found a q power box at the local stereo shop but I try mine for a while. I fits better then I thought. I am gonna seal it and make and amp rack take some more pics this weekend.

q power boxes are usually solid but gove them a once over and be sure

1609316094took some more pictures of my eq still fixing the trim plate. That A/C hole would be a great place for some gauges, any body have any pics of something like that?
