Figured I'd tell y'all a little about my project ... It's an 87 blazer 2door 2wd 2.8L 4-speed.

Just finished lowering it this evening. Went with DJM 2" drop spindles and 2" blocks rear. Had 235/70R15 tires on the 15x7 wheels when I bought the truck. Lowered the front last night and had MAJOR scrub issues in the front. Swapped the front tires for some 215/65R15 and kept the 235/70R15 out back. Actually looks really good now that I had time to lower the rear this evening.
This is how it sits now:

I'm actually tossing around the idea of ditching that bumper and going with a roll pan .... I just can't talk myself into cutting the end of the frame rails to make the roll pan fit. I liked the gray too, but it was a cheap paint job that the guy said he had done about 8 years ago, and the paint was coming off all over. I just shot it in flat black until I get ready for paint. The paint is going to be the last thing I do. I still have a few more mods to do before I get to that point ;)

Yeah I like them too .... This is my first, and even with the cost of the lowering kit, tires, cost of the blazer, and the used motor I bought to put in it when I first got it, I only have around $1600 invested in it, and that's including the misc parts I've had to replace here and there (ign key cylinder, headlights, front pads, slave cylinder, starter, etc).
I haven't decided 100% on color yet, still tossing around the idea of a couple different custom paint schemes that I have come up with. I'll see of I can play around with photoshop and try to give ya an idea of one or two of them.

I was just curious, so many variations of each color out there. most of mine in the past have been dark like black, blue or white.

Actually I'm tossing around a kinda crazy idea using a few different GM colors. The idea I have would use the burnt orange color from the Chevy HHR, the new Cadillac color called "black diamond", and the new Camaro "synergy green".

I vote the new green, same exact color I was kicking around till I decided to go with olive.
87 blazers kick ass, lol

Well actually the paint job I have pictured in my mind would actually use all three of those colors I mentioned in the previous post.
That is a very clean blazer... I like the burnt orange color or the sunset orange metallic they used on the 4th gen camaros. Have anything sketched out on your paint scheme idea?

Not yet ... Haven't had time to put it on paper or photoshop yet ... I have it in my mind though, I just need to get it laid out on some paper or something
