I am losing power some how to electronics....
My radio loses its presets, and my radar cuts off every 10 minutes it has a smart power system on it.
My cig plugs have continous power while the vehicle is running but the power is operating like I have turned the vehicle off and am just sitting in the truck before opening the door. As u know the power will automatically kill off after 10 minutes.
Its doing this while driving though I can't trace it down I haven't done anything since I've had the truck except put a stereo system in it and I have checked all fuses and wires associated with it.

I forget what GM called it.. I think it's the orange wire. It's the run-time circuit or something like that. Check the fuse in the fuse bollock under the hood.

Any specific fuse? All of them in the dash and under the hood are good to go

Looks can be deceiving.
The better way to test a fuse is with the key in the on position, and using a test light, probe the two little metal tabs on the top side of it, to make sure power is coming into it, making it past the part of the fuse that blows, and is being sent back out to the circuit.
The BEST way to check a fuse, is with a DVOM (Digital Volts/Ohm Meter) that has a contineuity test function (the annoying beeping sound) Pull the fuse, put it down on the table, and touch the leads to each of the blades. The DVOM will beep if there is proper contineuity through the fuse. Its important that your fingers do not touch the blades of the fuse, or the metal parts of the meter leads, as it can give you a false reading. While the meter is beeping, you want to look at the read out and make sure there is no more than roughly 0.05 ohms of resistance through the fuse. Any more and the fuse MAY be blown or cracked, but still making a very slight connection.

Ok cool I no nothing of the electrical side of thing, I know how to wire stuff radios, wall sockets but that's plug and play. I will start checking them when I get home.
Would a bad alternator be the cause of this
