roll pan instead of bumper.
fiberglass fenders(only seen them on ebay once and they didn't last long)
interior carpet or vinyl floor(make the truck real noisy though)
use turndown exhaust instead of full tail pipe
not sure is this is a daily driver but if not then these:
AC components(about 100 pounds total)
heater and related components
radio and related components
inner fenders
sway bars(for drag racing only)major body roll in the corners

ive seen people do this before....they try to save weight but then they put 20" or 22" wheels on there. all those do is slow you down.

yea welds are good. they are made for racing. i was talkin about the pure crome ones that way 100 pounds a piece.
as for more weight reduction options ask sparky.
he has a really light blazer.

Move around the weight you do have to help you more. I put my battery over my rear axle to improve traction. If you are going to have given weight the use it.

Serious weight reduction:

Remove:

ALL A/C stuff
Door panels
Jack & spare
Center console
Heater core and piping
Radio, speakers, and all wiring
Interior carpet all molding/trim and the dash.
Remove passenger seat and belt.
Swap out the steering wheel for a momo or other brand peice

For better weight distribution relocate:
Get a fuel cell and center it over the axle or to the rear
The battery to the bed
The radiator to the bed, you will gain some lb's but the amount of weight being transfered will make a greater difference.

Install:
Fiberglass hood
Racing seat
Lexan windows (I've seen kits for 1st & 2nd gens) <- big weight reduction

Here's mine, all I can say is I had to cut 125+lbs off!!! Those xcab seats are killers + all the trim, carpet, and stock seats!

Went away for a few days but I'll look again tomm. I did find my notes from installing the full length headers. 12 lb savings including the addl. pipe and flowmaster.
