im in the house and i hear a horn going off non stop. go outside to check it out and it's my truck. (98 s 10) I don't have an alarm. i unlock it at hit the horn a couple of times but nothing happens. (it's still going non stop). i pop the hood and start to mess around with it but no luck. go back into the cap and hit the horn again, but nothing. i don't do a thing and about 30 seconds later it just stops. it was going for about 2 minutes. the only thing i can think of is that it got too hot? it was about 5 and i have tinted windows. it was in direct sunlight. but i don't see how this would have caused it. i don't want is going off in the middle of the night. any ideas?

go out side right now and disconnect your battery. it will prevent it from going off in the middle of the night, plus if youhave a short, it will prevent it from getting worse and doing some major damage...

Just be aware of the fact that if you disconnect the battery, there is no power going through the computer, and if you made any changes to the computer with a programmer, it will have to go back to defaults once the battery is reconnected(also note that the clock will be displaying the time that the battery was disconnected on the radio)

No it won't. It may take it a few minutes to re learn the fuel trims, but the tune on the computer is not forgoten when you unplug the battery.

o really? I was told you want to keep voltage running through the computer.
