I drive a 1999 GMC Sonoma 4 cylinder and my air conditioner started to blow less cold air day by day and now its completely not working, I was wondering if anyone of you could give me links to a site that would give me trouble shooting on how-to fix it, I took it to pep boys and they said that their was a leak on the back of the compressor and that I needed a whole new system to fix it *cough* for a nice little price of $700 plus labor, I looked on Ebay and I noticed I can get a new compressor for less then $300 all I need now is the guages and vaccumm to get it done right, but I don't know where I can get everything I need for descent prices and I also don't know anything about an air condtioner, but I'm willing to learn, PLEASE HELP!

There are O ring type things on the 2 tubes on the back of the compressor. I bet one of them is wore out. I got a compressor from a junkyard for $100.
