Leaks!

I smell somethign burning under my truck and i put it up on ramps and see... transmission fluid all over the downpipe and on everything in site. there also appears to be a oil leak coming up from around the intake manifold. Im steadily keeping fluid in the transmission and keeping oil at the proper level in the engine. what should i do?? go junk yard hopping looking for a engine and trans, or sell it as is and just find sumthin that isint leaking.

If you got transmission fluid in the engine compartment, the transmission fluid dipstick tube may(may being the keyword) be to blame. As far as the oil around the intake manifold, you might have to check your intake gasket for cracks and get that replaced.

well i get inside my truck to leave school and and shift 1st, 2nd and hear a loud CLANK in 3rd, next stop sign, i shift 1 and 2nd, and go to 3rd and i hear loud clanking and feel vibrations all up in the shifter, and in 5th gear doin 65 the shifter is bouncing all around. im goin 2 a junkyard this weekend and gettin a used tranny and goin 2 install it this weekend. when the money comes around its v-8 time!!!
