door chime disable

hey, I was cleaning out my truck the other day, and I was trying to listen to the stereo while the doors were open, and I couldn't find a way to disable the door chime when the keys are in. Any suggestions? I was thinking the only other way to disable it is to wire in a switch.

i just wedge somthin in between the door and the switch that sticks out of the dash on the drivers side.

or turn the key to the "run" position

pull the switch out and disconnect it. It's not screwed in or anything so it just pops right out.
