huge problems with my jammer

well install went...not so good. well it all started off with me not being able to get my fan off to add the clearnce nut. then went from there to the mounting braket resting on my a/c pully (pully cant spin)...then from there said screw it got pissed went to shut my hood... HOOD CANT SHUT...so yea all in all yesterday was not a good day...but i dont think it has anything to do with the kit i think its my truck...me n my friends were talkin about it and i never shortened my drive shaft since i dropped my truck n i lowered it 5/6 so theres a possibility the drive shaft is twistin the motor forward, but we dont know...errr sooo frustrating, but hey i get to keep the garage for a few days since i dont have a hood...

ouch that blows man. PM black X over at s10forum he may be able to help you walk through the installation.

and if you think your driveshaft is wedged in there tight between the rear end and the tranny you need to get that fixed ASAP. that will surely wreck your transmission eventually and it even puts pressure on the crank shaft, not good. get under it and check it for endplay.

yea my buddy went to a shop after he did a 2/3 n they told him he needed it shortened 2 inches so i could only imagin...yea ive been talkin to james (black x) for awhile now but it doesnt seem like hes around much anymore but yea

one piece or 2 piece driveshaft?

if its a 1 piece it sounds much more likely. get under your truck and pull the driveshaft and see if it makes a difference. if it is indeed wedged in there tight enough to move your engine, its going to be a chore to remove it though

im not sure if its one or two...its whatever came on my 98, ive never had to touch it...but yea im gonna try n take it out today....n if i cant get it out im just gonna break out the sawzal n buy a new, stronger driveshaft....cuz my crazy 4cyl puts out sooooooooo many horses hahahaha i dunno we will see what i do but i am gonna try to pull it today

if your truck is a reg cab short bed its a 1 piece. ext cab 2 peice, long bed 2 piece.

is your truck bagged? if it is just undo one end of each the lower four link bar to rotate your axle back to give you some clearance to get the driveshaft out. theres no sense in buying a new one when the one you got is perfectly good ya know

yea i hear ya, umm so i have a one peice then...cuz its a reg cab step side..and naw i dont have bags i just have a 5/6 drop

if your engine is torquing out of the bay the bad you need new mounts. you shouldn't have any problems with the hood on the charger install. sounds like you put a bracket in upside down.

Shouldnt the trans mount on the crossmember keep it from moving too much?

i would have to agree with bvr something is way off! tell you what go back under your hood and tell me if your blower is the highest point of your motor.does the hood not shut or is there a thump when you get on it?

ill try to post pictures today...i hooked it up exactly how it suppose to i even had my buddy helpin me whos a mecanic...something has causde my engine to twist n the drive shaft is the only thing we can thing of...umm right now the s/c sits like 2 inches higher than anything else in the engine bay so i cant shut the hood...and i havent opened it up yet cuz i havent finished the fuel upgrade so im runnin wicked lean which leads to detenation which i dont want but um yea so im pullin the drive shaft as soon as i get a chance and if the engine doesnt move when i take that out its goin in the shop for serious repairs...

its a 98 2.2l 4cly, 52k, 5 speed, 3.73s....recent oil change umm wynjammer half installed, 5/6 drop...i dunno whta you really want me to list...
