God glass packs sound like crap on a 6 an I just couldnt imagine it sounding too much better on a 4. Why not just get a muffler you like and add that and a turn down?

Has the rice sound to it, yet. High PRMs it screams high pitched tones when it doesnt have 8 cylinders making it a band! Even then a glass pack is questionalbe. You could get a summit turbo, local parts store warlock or something along those lines sub $30. All depends on what you want to spend, just take a look at Jegs or Summit with your in side pipe size and go from there. Most local parts stores like Autozone, Advance etc usually carry a few cheaper turbo types, glass packs and rice mufflers in store. Then turn downs are cheap to direct it away from the underside which helps deflect the sound down and not through the floor plus keeps it off the rear axle which the exhaust residue will eat brake lines when its heating them up with this soot!

Eric, ever listen to a honda SCREAM by? your engine isnt much bigger :)
I had a Cherrybomb on my truck for a while. Sounded badass at idle, but in the higher rpms it sounded like balls. Right now im running a thrush turbo and like it.

To cut down on the rice sound of the 2.2L I recommend a chamber type muffler. Straight-core muffler like the classpacks WILL sound like rice.

ive heard a magnaflow on a 4 banger and it sounded really good. it was one of thoes stainless mufflers...not sure what version it was, but it was shinny! didnt sound like a honda either
I am rocking it with the other 60deg fellas. I am working on getting a sound clip. Gotta take it to my buddys house to get his laptop to record it.

a glasspack on a 4 cyl dont sound 2 terrably bad if you gut the cat and put a turndown, but theres no replacement for displacement!

well my brother tried putting a glasspack on his 2.2 cavalier for fun and it sounded horrible. dont do it. save up for a real muffler. try a cheap turbo muffler. dont make it too loud, i'd aim for a nice mellow sound if i were you cuz if its loud at idle its def gunna sound like rice at high rpm's.
