I've got a small coolent leak at the water pump (lower half of backing plate). I want to replace it but am going to keep it belt driven. Does anybody know the summit number for an Edelbrock or other aftermarket pump that will fit my 96' 4.3L?
Just get on there and Search for it. Its easy, I found it in about a minute. I just cant link to it for some reason.

My search came up with 6 pumps: 4 from Edelbrock and 2 from GMPP. All 4 from Edelbrock say 87-95' and the 2 from GMPP are for 95-2003. I'd like to use the Edelbrock Victor pumps because there high-volume. Can I use the older 87-95' Edelbrocks on my 96? And do I need a clockwise or counterclockwise or Reverse Rotation?

Anybody?
it's the same pump you would use on a 350 if that helps. I belive it's a short neck. Get stocl p/n and cross refernce it with a v8 pump and use the number to get you aftermarket HV pump
