New Tires!

Put some little 215/40/17's on the front of my truck today. Quite a bit smaller than the 225/45's that i had on there. They even lowered me .5"!!

Im trying to avoid taking out the inner fenders when i bag the front, and its gonna be real close now with these tires.
Its nice to drive around now cause im used to smoking the front tires in a hard turn...not no more:D

Well, I bought thoes wheels in June of 2004 from Kal Tire here in BC just before my 18th b-day. Thoes exact same wheels had been sitting in the show room for about 3 years...and i absolutly loved them. I was only about 14 at the time and i knew that that is the kind of wheels i wanted on my vehicle, no matter what. So after years of going into that store and drooling over these wheels..they were still there. Well next thing i know...ive bought a bone stock 1985 S15 with what ever money i had. It took me about 5 months to finally afford to go and buy the wheels (i was going to school for 6 hrs/day and then working for another 6)
So me and these wheels were made for eachother kinda!! haha

But ya...when i was 14 i saw these wheels and was like "Thoes will be mine"
Back then, the store had them advertized at $290/wheel...but 3 years later, the guys were just tired of having them sitting there so they gave them to me for $150/wheel (cdn of course) and they were brand new, never mounted/scratched...so i just bought them cause i figured that everytime i wanted to drool over the wheels, i wouldnt have to go to the store, i could jsut go to my truck:D

I still really like them, they are #2 in my top 3 wheels (#1 being the Panther Juice5, and #3 being the KMC Stealth)

So thats my story...i think its a good story with a happy ending! hahaha

*sniff* brings a tear to my eye! but yeah, i have always had a hard on for those rims ever since i saw em on a model truck with some wings west GFX on it.

i always liked that they look like they are in motion when they arent moving...thats what caught my eye

are those 8 inch rims. if they are how the hell did you get 215s on 8 inch rims. i tried once but gave up in frustration cuz i couldnt get the beads to seat.
