The driver's electric window in my 97' Blazer is stuck in the full open position.

It's done this two or three times in the 6 years i've owned the truck and figured it was a little issue with the switch (which is easy to replace) so I didn't give it much thought.
Well now that I've checked all the wiring up to the regulator motor and the harnes at the motor appears to get the proper juice I tried applying power direct to the motor - still nothing.
My biggest problem is the window is stuck down and we're due for another week of on and off rain here. Does anyone know of a way to roll the window back up without the help from the electric motor?
Hopefully one of the Chevy Techs. here will have a quick answer =-))

Thanks guys - Hope you're all having a good Memorial Day Weekend! =-))

sounds to me if the motor is getting proper voltage, the motor is shot. try a different switch (perhaps the passenger side window switch) to make sure the switch isnt fried. the motors arent that hard to replace, but i cant think of a way to how you would roll the window up withough it seeing how it controls the track or whatever you want to call it. if you were really hard up, you might see about taking the other window motor out, using it to put the window up, replacing the broken one to hold the window up temporarily until you can get a new motor and then replace it back in the passenger side.

To remove the motor you have to drill out the rivets. Do you just use bolts to hold it in afterwards?

Oh believe me - If I hadn't been a clutz and dropped my regular camera i'd be a picture maniac (Documentation is the best remedy for forgetful minds over time!) and my girlfriend has a great digital camera - But of course it's with her an hour away..... DOH!
I will however write up any shortcuts I stumble across. Good thing for me is I just got off the phone with the parts store that's only oper for another hour and they have one in stock for $45 bucks.
Time's a wastin' and i've got knuckles to bust =-)) Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
