I recently purchased a wynjammer but havent installed it yet. My question is does the programmer that comes with it tighten the shifting up (would like to bark switching into second!) or will I need to install a shift kit for that? I have been searching Summits website and can't seem to find one. I have an 03 4.3L. Thanks for any help.

The programmer has options both for shift points and shift firmness. Of course, nothing replaces a good shift kit, though. . . But, the programmer will firm up your shifts to a point.

screw the shift kit, throw in the vette servo.
That will firm things of.

I just ordered one, thanks! Is it a pain to install?

for the 4l series trannys you need the servos before you put a shift kit in. I've been told the sift kit will mess the comp on the 4l trannys though. I don't have a shift kit with my build up but i did have the TCI servos put in. It shifts firm, but not so much as to break traction between gears.

Go with a programmer first, then the servos, and then the shift kit. Keep in mind with all three it will shift VERY hard and some stronger sun shells and other parts will be needed.
