so um i really wanna know what i can run...i want them to be street legal so i can put em on the days i got to the track n not have to worry about them there. right now i have a regular cab stepside with a 5/6 drop...track nights it sits at a 5/3 (i remove to blocks to decrease chances of wheel hop) so what im tryin to get at is what setup would work for me, whats good, what do you guys recommend...how wide you think i can go 10-10.5? or can i squeeze bigger? any info would help...thanks

MT's or BF Goodrich street drag tires. 295's which are 10.3 wide I believe but each maker is a shade different. They offer just enough tread to be DOT street legal!

I would get the MT drag radials. The MT ET streets do not have enough tread if you get caught in the rain. Found that out the hard way. Also, the radials increase your 1/4 mph about 2%.

I ran 15x8 wheels with 295/15's no problem. 1 1/2 inches from the top of the tires to the wheel well edge, 3 3/4 backspacing and sat just inside the wells.

It was a 2/3 dropped Extended cab 4x4 Sonoma. I had 1 1/2 inches left between the top of the tire and the wheel well lip. Tires with the backspacing I said had 1/2 inch clearance to the side wall if it ever got that far. They were Billet American Racing wheels that are no longer made dammit!
