ooooooooo.....slide-a-links are sexy! They truly make a car jump out of the hole.
If you're not wanting to part with that kind of cash, these are the sheot;

94redSS, I use cheapo bolt-ons for my 12 sec. runs. They work. Caltracs, slide-a-links etc. are improved versions of the cheapo bolt-ons. They are effective at reducing your 60' time even further IF you need it.
Sometimes they work too good. Friend of mine, multiple time champ, damn good driver put 'em on his Nova. Screwed up his leave. Car reacted so well it was a new learning curve to get his RT's back competitive (well, his kind of competitive ;) )
But it did decrease his 60' time about .04 reducing his ET by a little over a tenth. 10 sec. big block Nova. Had cheapo bolt-ons before.

I'm running slidealinks. Jegs has em, much better than caltracs!

are you lowered 3" in the back with blocks?? If you are...i would think thoes bars would damn near drag on the ground.
im not sure tho.

Not trying to whore up the tread, but why do you guys like slide-a-links better? Also you might want to try running 3" springs rather than blocks to lessen axle wrap which seems to be your problem.

if i were you, i would lose the blocks. they are causing axle wrap which is causing the wheel hop. They also make it less likely for you to be able to use a traction bar. I think you will get rid of most of the problem if you go to a 3" spring instead of blocks. then you might not even need traction bars. Caltracs are $300 to $320 i think. check them out a calvertracing.com

I run 2" blocks with SSM lift bars - no wheel hop, but ground clearance is at a premium. With a 3" block I wouldn't use less than a 28" tall tire - or just get the slide a links/cal tracs.

I have the lakewood S10 trac bars. They fit great and serve their purpose well. I want to lower the truck 2" front 3" rear but will have to get the caltrac or slide-a-link set up because these hang down to far. The ground clearence is not all that great with these "slapper bars". I tried to post the pics of my trac bars but it said I have the attachment in this thread already, http://www.sicgmtrucks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1234 its post #22, 3rd post from the bottom.http://www.sicgmtrucks.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=592http://www.sicgmtrucks.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=593

Nope drop leafs. I have about a 4.5/5 drop and all im running in the back are 2* shims and drop leafs. The leafs dropped me about 4.5"!

i just got a set of those universals and used square tubing to extend the bumper to under the spring eye. i have a 4 inch leaf spring drop in the back and i have yet to scrape them on anything.

I have 3 inch blocks, universal lakewood trac bars, and I am running p205-75-r15s. they are fine, i only scraped them once (light scrape). Although if I have a back tire blow out, my ass is riding on skies!

The problem i had with universal bars was the bumper was way to far away from the leaf spring. I even tried shimming the back part of the bar but eventuley the shims came out, and i was stuck driving with a loose bar. :(

I'm running belltech drop leaves with the universal lakewoods. Severe wheel hop without them, worse than with the stock leaves and blocks. I did have to move the lakewoods as far forward as possible to make them work right. I also had to cut the corner of the forward square plates due to running 295/50/16's. For $30 I'm happy with them. Would like to have the caltracs but I'd rather spend the money on other things I need.
