Well as some of you know, I have a '95 Blue Blazer. Its a V6 w/ 4dr and 4wd. Its automatic and has alittle over 130,000mi on it. Now on to the questions...
What would you guys do in my position? Make it into a street truck or a mudder? Pros & Cons are - For the mudder, I have lots of woods around here so that could come in handy, but it will also suck up alot of gas with bigger tires right? And for the street truck, IMO it would look cooler, but it would be a waste of the 4x4 option :indiffere What would you guys do?
Now about the ugly blue, Would you guys put the money into a paint job? Remember, it has the same blue interior. For those of you who have not seen my blazer, pics can be found here http://www.sicgmtrucks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=296
Thanks guys!

the pics you had on that thread did not show up for me...but my personal opinion is that if its a 4x4.. make it a mudder. why have a truck with that kind of option if your going to just lower it and make it a street truck?... if you want to have a street truck.. why not try to find a dealership with the same year you are looking for and find a 2wd to make a street truck. Bigger Tires=more gas... but atleast you dont live in oregon where the gas prices are ridiculously high... if you can get away with making it a mudder... i would

well, I seem to have found some semblance of a middle ground for the 2 differences you are seeking. got the show on the inside with some on the outside...small amount of lift with the optional oversized tires but a beefier suspension and shock system. works for me as mostly we have fields and woods where I live as well.

Give it a mild lift say 3" with a beefer suspension. Also add fender flarers and larger tires. Also larger tire inprove gas milege buy changing the final drive ratio to a numberly lower rear.

All in all it comes down to what YOU want and what you think the way it should look all of these are good ideas but in the end its your truck and you drive it...make it something your gonna be proud of, there is no set standard or way for any vehicle to be, just remember your the one who has to drive it!

Pitchblacks right whatever you chose your ride to be like it is yours to chose from. Besides if everybodys ride was the same what would we talk about? If you need more specfic qustions then keep asking.

Just leave the axle ratios the same cause larger tires will effectively lower (the number of) the ratio. It's important not to lug the engine with a high ratio cause that will waste gas as well as damage your engine.
Running larger tires, you want to run a higher gear ratio as well. 4.56's would be pretty good with say, 31's
