dash swap

i have a 99 std cab with a blown tranny and i can get a 97 ext cab for 500 but there not sure wahts wrong with the enginei havent loked at it its lowered and i know the tranny is good so i was i gunna buy it just for the tranny and springs then scrap the rest of it but i want an ext cab i wanted to know how hard is it to put a 99 dash in a 97 i dont wanna lose my dash i dont like the old style also the plastic that the dash bolts too do i have to take the plastic from the 99 to put it in the 97 im not trying to get myself into a 3 year project for a dash board

might not be worth it man, that 97 may have more problems than you want to deal with. :: sorry missed the part where you said you would scrap the rest :: not only would you be losing your new dash style from your 99, but the exterior grill too, but you may not care about that. i think you should put whatever money you have into something like a Jet transmission. but if you wanted a summer project that you can do alot of swapping between that 97 and 99...

the problems i dont care about b ut i jsut wanna swap the dahs so i have new style the front end i would swap too to get the gmc version not s-10 but littel **** like that i dont care i need the extra room but if its gunnabe a hard swap im not guna do it
