OK, I'm getting ready to go to school today (taking a summer class to get caught up for the new program I'm transferring into) and I'm about ready to throw my backpack behind my seats, I go to open the third door, and the third door handle goes SNAP!! F$%# IT!! I push the door back closed and head off to school. What does everyone think it will cost to get this fixed? I'm not sure if I snapped a cable in the door, but I just think the hinge in the handle broke. I'll have to take my bike to work while it is at the dealer, so hopefully it won't take too long to fix.

i don't have the third door but i was cleaning my truck recently applying some trim detailer to the tailgate handle, makes it glossy black instead of flat black and the housing around it just fell into my hand!?!? haven't messed with it.

maybe it was just a weak or stressed piece of metal and gave way...i wish i had a third door...

yeah, once the handle broke, I moved the handle in the housing and it just swung back and forth and the only reason it is still there is because the driver side door is there to keep it in.

Some dude on s10forum makes aluminum replacement ones for cheap. There are a few threads on them.

It was covered under my warranty, but I had a $100 deductible on it or something like that, the part itself cost about 15, 20 dollars. I might have to look into the aluminum ones Lo'noma was talking about.
